Comments:   A traditional European look was what the client wanted, and we created a desk to provide an intimate, friendly atmosphere for letter-writing. The drop-leaf writing surface closes to keep the contents of cubbyholes and drawers hidden from view. Two large drawers below store paper, pen and ink.

The design was aided by the discovery of an exceptional plank of figured koa wood, from Hawaii, and it added its own personality to the finished product.
